Originally opened in 1807, this Grade II listed theatre underwent a significant programme of restoration and upgrade. The project included the full replacement of the existing colonnade balcony in terracotta, carefully executed in line with English Heritage requirements. Alongside this, major internal works were carried out, including upgraded electrical systems and the refurbishment of the auditorium and Front of House areas. The project was successfully completed in July 2024, preserving the building’s historic character while enhancing its functionality for modern use
