overview

Elevating the fan experience sits at the heart of Sunderland AFC’s 2025/26 season, and we have worked in close collaboration with the Club and foodservice and hospitality provider, Delaware North, to support its ongoing summer upgrade programme at the Stadium of Light.

The project saw the transformation of the former 8,500 sq. ft Black Cats Bar into 76 Yards, starting with a full strip out of the existing space. The scope of works included alterations to the existing bars, a new open kitchen kiosk, installation of new internal partitions to reconfigure the space, high banquette seating and fixed premium booths, alongside upgraded finishes such as a feature ceiling, new lighting and MEP alterations. Additionally, a new F&B concept was introduced for ‘Tommy’s Pie Shop’ to align with the new food offering.

The project formed part of a wider hospitality programme that also included the delivery of a farm-to-fork fine-dining concept, Banks on the Wear, as well as upgrades to the stadium concourses.

Appointed shortly before the end of the Championship season, the project was completed within a 10-week programme, ready for the start of Sunderland AFC’s Premier League season.
