As part of a wider programme of works at the Bristol Hippodrome, we were appointed by ATG to provide cost management services for Phase 1 of the theatre’s AHU upgrade. The works addressed ongoing issues with air quality and cooling, forming the first stage in modernising the venue’s HVAC systems.
Phase 1 included the installation of a new air handling unit above the auditorium, alongside alterations to existing openings and voids to accommodate new ductwork throughout the theatre. The scope also involved the removal of temporary AHU units, installation of new steel footings for the plant equipment and new roof coverings to the auditorium roof.
Drawing on our in-house MEP expertise, we provided early budget advice for the client before leading procurement via competitive tender and supporting the project post-contract, including valuations, change management and final account agreement.
