As part of our ongoing relationship with Sunderland AFC, we were appointed as cost consultants to support the refurbishment and fit-out of the first-team facilities at the Academy of Light, the Club’s dedicated training and player development facility.
The project involved the strip-out and internal fit-out of existing spaces, including the introduction of a new first-team social hub, upgraded dressing rooms, a tactics room, refreshed finishes, fixed furniture and MEP upgrades.
The upgraded facilities provide a more modern and functional environment for Sunderland AFC’s first-team players and staff, with a range of new and enhanced spaces supporting their day-to-day training and development.
The programme was completed ahead of the new Premier League season, with the works carried out over the summer while the World Cup and the team’s US tour were taking place.
