Elevating the fan experience sits at the heart of Sunderland AFC’s 2025/26 season, and we have worked in close collaboration with the club and its F&B operator, Delaware, to support its ongoing summer upgrade programme at the Stadium of Light.
The project saw the transformation of the former 8,500 sq. ft Black Cats Bar into 76 Yards, starting with a full strip out of the existing space. The scope of works included alterations to the existing bars, a new open kitchen kiosk, installation of new internal partitions to reconfigure the space, high banquette seating and fixed premium booths, alongside upgraded finishes such as a feature ceiling, new lighting and MEP alterations. Additionally, a new F&B concept was introduced for ‘Tommy’s Pie Shop’ to align with the new food offering.
The project formed part of a wider hospitality programme that also included the delivery of a farm-to-fork fine-dining concept, Banks on the Wear.
Appointed shortly before the end of the Championship season, the project was completed within a 10-week programme, ready for the start of Sunderland’s Premier League season.
